HISTORIC JAMESTOWN SOCIETY The Historic Jamestown Society is a non-profit corporation chartered by the State of North Carolina in 1974, and holds membership in the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Our mission is to preserve the cultural and architectural history of Jamestown, and to increase public awareness of the influence of "The Other South" that Jamestown represented. All who share our goals and interests are invited to attend our general meetings and to become members. Memberships available: Individuals ($15), Families ($25), Contributors ($45), Sponsors ($60), Patrons ($100), and Benefactors ($500) annually, Life($750). All dues and donations are tax-deductible. Memorial contributions are welcome and will be acknowledged in our publication, The Farmer's Advocate. Contributions for the Mendenhall Plantation may be so specified and will be used only for that purpose. Historic Jamestown Society, Inc. P.O.
